HaloMAG™
Estech’s HaloMAG™ system is a fully engineered magnetic structure that is used as a communications real estate fastening system for water tower roofs.
The Estech HaloMAG™ is believed to be the world’s largest magnetic bracketing system and currently range from 25′ wide to 35′ wide and feature approximately 1,500 to 2,000 high strength rare-earth magnets each.
Estech’s HaloMAG™ system is a fully engineered magnetic structure that is used as a communications real estate fastening system for water tower roofs.
Traditionally, water towers have roof corrals installed with welding permanent corrals. The welding process requires grinding of expensive high performance coating systems and weld heat that burns local coatings including the multi-layer epoxy coating system that is in contact with public drinking water. These burn areas are a hidden “secret” in the industry as the repair for these out-of-sight areas on the interior of the drinking water roof is costly to access and apply multiple layers of repair coatings, which may still corrode faster than the surrounding epoxy lining system.
Water towers can now be examined for compatibility with Estech Magnetics HaloMAG™ magnetic roof corral which allows the telecom installers to completely assemble the corral, antennae, and sectors on the ground at the base of the tower. After all of the equipment is assembled at the safety and comfort of the ground, a 100 ton crane (or otherwise specified) is able to lift the corral in a monolithic assemble and make a controlled contact with the tower roof.
Controlling the massive magnetic pull is made possible with the Hoverbolt™ system which stands the magnetic pads off of the roof by a gap that renders the magnetic pull strength to near-zero. Once the corral is rotationally and translationally positioned the Hoverbolt(tm) system can be unthreaded in an easy, controlled manner allowing the magnetic pads to come into full surface contact.
